State Sen. Hansen Clarke beat Michigan Democratic Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick yesterday in the primary election results in Michigan with a total of 47% – 41%. The result ends the dynasty of the Kilpatrick family, and Carolyn Cheeks loses her chance for a re-election.

Snyder, former CFO of Gateway, overcame more conservative elements in his own party to defeat Attorney General Mike Cox. Bernero, Mayor of Lansing, rode to victory on an us-vs-them platform focusing on the different needs of Main Street and Wall Street.

Hansen Clarke, 53, is clearly referring to the previous scandals by the Kilpatrick family, who were a respected political family in Detroit. First we have Kwame Kilpatrick, former Detroit Mayor and son of Carolyn Cheeks who was jailed for violating his parole and faces federal corruption charges. And then we have Cheeks ex-husband Bernard Kilpatrick ho is also being investigated for corruption

Telangana Elections | AP Election Results 2010: AP Telangana by elections winner’s results will be announced on 30 july 2010 for the voting in Telangana region on 27th July. The Election is to elect the resigned Telangana MLA’s.

The counting of the votes will start on July 30th by 8 am. The declaration will be by evening of the 30th July.
